Rob joined AWN after 6 weeks of retirement! Educated through the stock and wool industry with a rural background which began on the family farm at Spencers Brooks. Joined a stock firm after 3 “gap” years as a jackeroo in South Australia and the Great Southern area of WA.
Rob commenced employment as a stock agent around 1970 with Western Livestock Ltd after spending time as a jackeroo in South Australia and in our Great Southern area.
Acquired the qualifications as a trainer; commenced training with REIWA in 2005 training real estate personnel both at entry level and at Diploma level with a passion for the rural industry whilst still at the same time being actively involved in the industry as a business owner of a country based agency. A strong believer in sharing knowledge and experience as others gave to him he has always been available to anyone from both his firm or any other to help and mentor, always enjoyed seeing one of those proteges going onto better themselves, often remarking how he had a hand in their development.
Has owned his own regional agency, managed the real estate department for a statewide stock firm, always ensuring his staff abided by his set of morals and ethics often to the detriment to the bottom line. A stickler for the law he will show both staff and clients the pathway best trod.
Has always believed that his qualifications are shown in his staff where his passion is for his people to listen to your clients and seek out their needs and wants, and to follow instructions.
Very much devoted to family, very private, he and his wife; Kate live on a small landholding in the Upper Great Southern area of WA and looks after as Licensee and Director the formative years of AWN Property (WA) Pty Ltd.
