The Hereford cow herd has been bred from Yavenvale Stud Bulls from NSW. They have crossed our heifers with Angas, most recently, Pathfinder Angas Stud bulls, which has given us the black baldy cows. Vendors decided a couple of years ago to go “black” so they have been buying Pathfinder cow bulls as well and some composite Bulls from Duck Island for the cow program. They have bought from Duck Island for a long time but only used them in a terminal heard situation until we decided to go Black.
The sheep have been merino ewes crossed with a White Suffolk ram ( Wingamin Stud ) from Karoonda.
