During the revegetation process, the previous owner planted a number of rainforest foods to nurture the native wildlife that live here. In the last year alone there have been sightings of cassowaries, tree kangaroos, and echidnas. You’ll also see Ulysses and bird-wing butterflies, leaf-tailed geckos, and some colourful chatty King Parrots. There are native foods for the humans too, including Davidsons Plums, Lemon Apsens, Atherton Oak Nuts, and other fruit trees.

And the mushroom farm! The owners are happy to help you get started with learning this business. On a weekly basis they produce at least 10 kilograms of Shiitake and Oyster Mushrooms, with the capacity to double that production. They also grow a very popular range of medicinal mushrooms.
